Train Heritage

 A Steam Locomotive Engine YG 4119 - NORTH EAST QUEEN in Guwahati Railway Station Campus

" The first train in India was hauled by three steam Locomotives Sindh, Sultan and Sahib on 16th April, 1853 between Bori-Bunder and Thane. The glorious era of steam locos ended in late 1990’s. This loco YG 4119 is a Metre Gauge Goods Steam Loco manufactured in the year 1956. The loco was homed in Badarpur shed of Lumding Division, N.F. Railway and retired in 1997 after 41 years.
